This is an empty web page created as an example. There are serveral ways to to edit your web pages: 1) Log on to unix and edit the pages directly: telnet brain.uccs.edu (on campus, use the icon on the desktop) cd public_html pico index.html (use any editor eg: emacs index.html or vi index.html) 2) Open an ftp session to your public_html directory using a browser. ftp://yourusername@www.uccs.edu/public_html Ftp is short for File Transfer Protocol. You can then drop and drag files that you've edited on a PC. 3) Use an FTP utility to connect to your account. You typically need to known to connect to the host www.uccs.edu, use your Username and password and then change directories to the public_html directory before uploading. 4) Use an html editor such as dreamweaver, homesite, frontpage to edit and upload your web pages. These programs have facilities to upload files using FTP.
