Alumni Association
All
graduates of Beth-El College are eligible to become members of the
Alumni Association. The
Alumni Association takes an active role in promoting the welfare of
Beth-El students.

Colorado
Council of Black Nurses, Inc.
The
Colorado Council of Black Nurses started in 1974 with its primary goal
to provide support services for black individuals who are interested
in becoming nurses. The
organization continues to focus its efforts on:

Tutorial services: Tutoring
is available as well as assistance in studying for State Board exams.

Colorado
Student Nurses Association
Students
are eligible for membership in the association and are encouraged to
actively participate on the district, state and national levels of the
professional organization. Beth-El has more active student involvement in the Colorado
student organization that any other college in Colorado. Beth-El students hold several state and national positions.
State and national conventions provide an opportunity for fun
as well as professional leadership.
Nurses
Christian Fellowship
A
group which meets to provide support, discuss ideas, provide community
service and share a Christian philosophy. Information about meetings is available in the student lounges.

Theta Tau International Honor Society
of Nursing
Xi Phi Chapter
Students with high academic performance
(have at least a 3.0 GPA and are in the top 35% of their class)
and who have completed (??) of their nursing credits are inducted into the honor
society, along with community leaders, at an annual meting. Meetings throughout the year provide an opportunity for
research and other scholarly presentations and exchange.
Sigma
Theta Tau International Honor Society is an organization which
recognizes the achievement of academic scholarship. Because achievement of superior scholarship demonstrates
leadership, creativity and overall ability in nursing, membership at
this level is based upon the student's grade point average. Please note the following requirements to begin preparation for
membership:
Basic
Program - Basic program is defined as a baccalaureate or higher degree
program which leads to the first professional degree. Students shall have a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a
4.0 scale or it equivalent. Basic
student who are elected shall rank not lower that the highest 35 percent
of their class in scholarship.
Programs
of Graduate Study - Programs of graduate study in nursing include
masters, postmasters, doctoral and post-doctoral. Nurses matriculated for master or post-master programs shall be
eligible for membership if they have achieved a grade point average of
at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent.
