RN-MSN Students

Students are required to have a BS in another field and currently hold an unrestricted RN license.

Other criteria this student must meet are:

  • GPA of 3.0 in all college course work

  • Clinical experience equivalent of 3 years full time in the last 5 years

  • MAT score of at least 50 or GRE total of 1400 (1000 for verbal and math)

  • Meet all MSN admission requirements except graduation from NLN accredited BSN 
    program 

  • In addition, prior to enrolling in MSN courses the student must complete course work:

    • N445 Community Health Nursing

    • N305 Health Assessment

  • Demonstrate undergraduate or graduate level courses in Management, introductory
    research and statistics or complete course work:

    • N436 Management Portfolio

    • N401 Nursing Research

  • A grade of  B or better in BSN course work is required for retention and progression to the graduate level courses.
