Master of Arts in Communication  

The Master's Degree program in Communication at UCCS serves the needs of graduates who   wish to continue their education in the discipline. For those whose undergraduate major is not communication, there are certain undergraduate prerequisites which may be taken concomitantly with graduate coursework.

Students are required to complete a set of five core courses. Both thesis and non-thesis options are available.

Core course requirements:

• five core required courses (15 credits)
• six graduate elective courses in communication (18 credits)
• one graduate level course from outside the department (3 credits)

Elective course offerings:

Note:  Under all plans, no more than six hours of graduate coursework may be transferred from other universities to fulfil the degree requirements for the M.A. in Communication.
