| Department overview | Alumni Newsletter Welcome back Geography and Environmental Studies Alumni! If you haven't been on campus in a while, we have some exciting changes to tell you about. Most importantly, we now offer a Master's Degree in Geography. With today's troubling economy, many employment firms suggest going back to school to obtain a master's degree. So come back to school! We have new professors offering a diverse range of new courses such as urban studies, hydrology, and biogeography. No need to worry, some of your favorite professors are still here too. We are now located in beautiful Columbine Hall, offer many new courses, and offer GIS resources thru the Southern Colorado Geodata Laboratory. GIS and related classes are taught and research conducted in the two labs with networked Win2000 computers, digitizers, plotter, and the Arc suite of GIS software technologies. For those of you that are happily nested in
your career, we ask that you help us to support our new graduate students.
Can you contribute so that we can hire
graduate students as teaching and research
assistants? Can your organization set up internships
for current students? |
