SCOTT THOMPSONIn the Library: "Petroglyph"—Acrylic on stone (2d floor, circulation area)
Scott Thompson has studied and traveled the Colorado Plateau since 1979. His appreciation of the art of ancient Native Americans is evident in these striking images that express the essence and the heart of the timeless and mysterious desert of the American Southwest.
These images are accurate, detailed reproductions of actual pictographs and petroglyphs from the Colorado Plateau; encompassing parts of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona.
Each rock panel is a one of a kind, hand crafted tribute to the visual artists of the prehistoric Southwest.
Scott’s work is in numerous public and private collections throughout the Colorado and the Southwest.
