Access to Area Libraries

You must have a valid CU-Colorado Springs ID card in order to check out materials at other libraries.  You may also use a card from the Pikes Peak Library District at some local libraries.

Local residents may apply for a patron’s card by presenting proof of local residence.  (Colorado Springs driver’s license, rent receipt, etc.) and signature verification.  This card will also allow the borrowing of materials from other libraries that participate in the Colorado Library Card program.

Other Libraries Statewide

UCCS faculty have faculty circulation privileges at the University of Colorado-Denver, Boulder, and the Health Sciences Center libraries.  In addition, we have reciprocal borrowing agreements with most of the public colleges and universities in the state.

Prospector
Prospector is a combined catalog of 21of the major academic and public libraries in Colorado.  You may search and order books online.  Prospector requests generally arrive within 72 hours. Journal articles are not available through Prospector. 

Colorado Library Card
UCCS, along with many libraries throughout the state, participates in the Colorado Library Card program.  This gives you borrowing privileges at any participating library.  You may ask at the Reference for information on participating libraries.
