Welcome to my Homepage!

I am a second year clinical psychology graduate student at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS). I am currently working on a Masters degree and hope to continue on to a doctorate program upon completion of my studies at UCCS. I am currently working as a Research Assistant for Dr. Lee Becker, who is also my Masters thesis advisor. We, in conjunction with Debbie Black-Tanski, another UCCS student, are working toward a better understanding of the mechanisms that underlie the efficacy of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In addition, we are explorign the efficacy of EMDR in the treatment of specific phenomena such as phantom limb pain. My Master's Thesis will explore the potential use of EMDR with women who are experiencing phantom breast pain.

I am also an intern at the University Counseling Center. Under the Supervision of Debbie Baker and Dennis Anderson, I have begun therapy with UCCS students. As an intern, I have also become in outreach programs in the Campus Community provided through the Counseling Center--offering various workshops, presentations and even a weekend retreat.

As an undergraduate, I majored in Psychology and minored in Biology.  I worked in the Psychology Department as a Teaching and Research Assistant for Dr. Jennifer Butler and completed an Honors Thesis with Dr. Josephine Wilson.
