What is Transfer Orientation?
Transfer Orientation will provide you with the opportunity to meet with an academic advisor, discover how your transfer credits apply toward your degree, register for classes, and learn about campus life and the university community. Most students may choose between Group or Individual orientation sessions.
Transfer Orientation Options
Group Sessions
Group sessions are available for all new transfer students and are the only orientation option for Business, Nursing, and Health Science students. During a group orientation session, you will first hear presentations about college requirements as a group, and then have the opportunity to meet with an academic advisor to discuss your transfer work and remaining requirements for your UCCS degree. Afterwards, you will register for classes using our computer registration system.
Individual Sessions
Individual sessions are NOT available for Business, Nursing, and Health Science students. The first step for individual orientation is to review a series of web-based presentations on your own and then pass an online orientation test. After you have successfully passed the test, we will contact you to set up an individual appointment with your academic advisor. Following the appointment, you will be able to register for classes using our computer registration system.
