High School Attendance Policy |
Effective January 1, 2004

High School |
High School students (9-12)
will be allowed 3 absences for the 4 years they are in the
High School Pre-Collegiate Development Program. After the
3rd absence, they will be dismissed from the program,
pending an appeal.

Rules and
Regulations (Middle School & High School Students) |
| 1. |
All Students MUST sign-in at
all Saturday Academies - attendance will be determined
solely from these list. |
| 2. |
Pre-Collegiate no longer has
excused or unexcused absences. Please DO NOT phone
in if your son or daughter is going to be absent for a
Saturday Academy. |

Appeals Process
 |
A student who is notified of dismissal can
appeal within 10 calendar days from the date of the letter
as follows.
| 1. |
Write a letter of appeal
to the Chair of the Pre-Collegiate Appeals Committee
and include a recommendation for reinstatement from
your school counselor. |
| 2. |
A meeting will be
scheduled for the student and parent(s) to meet with
the Appeals Committee. |
| 3. |
The Appeals Committee
will submit their findings to the Coordinator of the
Pre-Collegiate Development Program. |

The resolution of the
appeal will be either: |
| 1. |
Reinstatement on
probation with specific expectations to be signed by
the student and parent. |
| 2. |
Appeal denied: Dismissal
from the Pre-Collegiate Program. |
