The Visual Resource Center
The VRC houses a large collection of slides including images of painting, photography,
sculpture, design, and the decorative arts. In the spring of 2006, the online
digital database ARTstor will be available, providing access to over 600,000
images of a large scope and variety, including images from renowned museums
and collections around the world. ARTstor training will be offered when the
database becomes available.
The VRC is a resource for faculty and students offering basic training and
assistance relating to digital imaging, slide projection, and the use of
computer technology in the classroom. The VRC’s scanner and copy stand
are available for faculty to create 35mm slides and digital images. A student
resource area is also available to explore exhibition, performance, and grant
opportunities, as well as graduate schools.
