Frequently Asked Questions
You must contact UCCS Web Servcices at web@uccs.edu to gain editing access.
One common error we encounter is a page not saving when the Save button is selected. There are a few common reasons this can happen, here are a few things to try. First, make sure that all required fields are filled in with some text. Second, make sure the Revision log message has been filled out. If all of these boxes have been filled out, this may be an issue with Drupal. Try exiting out of the screen and returning to the editing screen. This will show the prompt: “Would you like to return to the editing screen?” Select “Return to editing” and select Save again. If this still has not worked, you may have to discard your progress and restart editing
Images can load incorrectly on specific rows when uploaded. We recommend viewing the Image uploading tutorial to see the correct dimensions for uploading, but the image may have to be edited. We recommend using Canva or any image editing tool to edit an image. Take a look at the recommended size of the images for best results.
Videos uploaded through YouTube and Vimeo can have issues showing up on Drupal pages. Make sure you are using the correct link type, it must come from the Page URL not the share feature. The links should look like these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lX64Z5XeCgk, https://vimeo.com/485597425. If the video still does not look correct after inputting the correct URL type, it may have to be re-uploaded.
No, custom code is not permitted for use on the UCCS Drupal Theme. This is to ensure our websites are accessible to all users. If you are looking to add a feature or something to your page that isn’t currently a feature, contact Web Services at web@uccs.edu.
