Step 1: Find the Add Block Button

At the bottom of the editing screen select the arrow box next to the "Accordion Block" box.

Step 2: Add the Row

A dropdown menu will appear, select "Side Nav" which will now create a Side Nav row on your page.

Step 3: Titling the Side Nav

Insert a Section Title and select whether to display it using the Display Section Title button. Scroll down to the Side Nav Section to start creating Side Nav elements.

Step 4: Adding Information to a Side Nav Element

Only a Title and a Body are required for a Side Nav element, but there are more fields you can add. Use the Side Nav Menu Text box to create an alternative shorter title that appears on the Side Nav menu. Only do this if the Title is longer and can be abbreviated.

CTA Button

A button can be displayed on each Side Nav section. To do this, go to the CTA Button section and insert a URL (link to another website) and Link Text. If the page you want to redirect to is in the same domain, you can search the title in the URL box and select it, to learn more see here.

Video Embed

To put a video in the Side Nav, go to the Video Embed section and input the link to your video in the URL box, and insert Link Text (make sure you are putting the correct URL into the correct section, a video will not show if it is in the CTA Button Section!). You must also put text into the Link Text text box. Make sure to copy the URL from the top of the screen with the /watch?v=****** section of the URL. Do not use the Share function on YouTube.

Images

Images can be put in your Side Nav section, to this go to the Image section and select Select Image(s). Images must be uploaded to Drupal before they can be used, to learn how to do this see here. You can also go to the Upload section in the Select Image(s) tab, select Choose File and select your image file to upload that image. For best results, upload images that are square and 500 pixels by 500 pixels. If an image and a video has been inserted, only the image will appear.

Adding or Removing Side Nav Content

To add a new Side Nav Content, select Add Side Nav Content at the bottom of the Side Nav row, to remove one, select the Three Dots next to the Collapse button and select Remove (You can also duplicate Side Nav Contents this way)
